Jim brings a decade of experience in the automotive industry as both a technician and shop owner. Before Quotera, he ran his own shop and saw firsthand the challenges shops face with outdated, overcomplicated software.

Joey is a software engineer with a passion for building tools that make people's lives easier. He's spent his career building intuitive software tools and holds a degree in IT with a specialization in information and data security from NJIT.
Jim and Joey met in middle school and grew their careers in different directions but stayed close. Jim was running his auto repair shop while Joey was always developing new software.
Over time, as they caught up about work, Joey wanted to build something better for Jim and spotted security issues in the software Jim was using to run his shop.
They started with a simple question: "What if we made our own software that was easier to use and learn, designed for the people who actually use it?" Months of late nights, endless customer interviews, and countless iterations later, Quotera was born.
